During Berlin Arts Weekend (that took place in the first weekend in Mai, from 1-3 of Mai) the obligatory place to visit were the Galerries in Berlin Mitte. These galleries, which are are located in Auguststrasse. Linienstrasse street, participated in this event having their exhibitions spaces open for visitors during the whole weekend. The galerry Raschke Ripke among others presented works by Jan Ros “Ruhe verkannt”. His quiet and dreamy images resemble Edward Hopper´s urban and architectural scenes.

Personally, I always enjoy going to Galerie Schwind, where several paintings by Erich Kissing are the part of the fixed exposition.  His monumental images have the surralistic touch. DNA galerry exhibited works by a perfomance artist Nezaket Ekici.   At Feldbusch Wiesner an exhibition by a Swiss artist Autustin Rebetez had been displayed. His series of photographs presented the “Burned forest, Technological tribes, Incomprehensible Tools, Humans trying to become Birds. Heads connected to hearts and crosses.” Special attention also deserved the female fighters by Martin Eder that were exhibited at Eigen + Art Gallery.
